The performing arts do more than entertain; they awaken imagination and strengthen well-being. But for many students, barriers like transportation stand in the way of those experiences.

Our in-school programs break down that barrier, bringing professional artists and transformative performances straight into classrooms. Each performance becomes a spark — a reminder that creativity, empathy, and learning can flourish anywhere.

Explore how your support brings music, theatre, and magic to life for students across our community.

The Magic of Learning

Designed for students with cognitive and developmental differences, Hocus Focus combines the art of magic with education. Created by Dr. Kevin Spencer, this program improves planning, sequencing, memory, and communication — key skills for academic and social success. Through 45-minute interactive sessions aligned with Common Core Standards, students experience learning in new, joyful ways.

Music with a Message

For more than 20 years, the Troubadours have delighted the hearts and minds of elementary students throughout Genesee County and beyond. Filling in the gap as support for music and arts education has diminished, the Troubadours bring the power of live performance into schools. A string quartet, dancer and storyteller weave music with stories that reinforce core curriculum and character education. Each performance is supported with educator guides and activities — ensuring lessons last long after the applause fades.

Theater that travels

Born from conversations with educators, Flint Rep on the Road brings live professional theatre directly into schools and community spaces. Its first production, “The Birds” by Aristophanes, reimagines the ancient comedy for today’s audiences; a 55-minute, modern adaptation filled with wit, imagination, and hope.
